Windows Server 2003 R2 Performance issues
Reply Quote
Hello,

I have a VC++ 6 ISAPI dll that uses the Win32 Raster Imaging dll's (verison 14.5). I developed and tested the dll on a windows XP box. I began testing the dll on servers and it works fine on Server 2000.

However, when I setup a Server 2003 R2 box (fresh install with only IIS configured) I get extremely poor performance. On XP I was getting 2-3 second render times...on 2003 it jumped to 25-30 seconds.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to change to make this a bit faster? I ran process monitor on the system to see if there was a file problem, but it's finding and opening all files with no problem. I did notice that the system seems to have long pauses (3-5 seconds) immediately after reading an image file.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
