12-28-2007, 20:45 annnorth Joined on 12-29-2007 Posts 2 ? missing codec my sound is not working after some hardware installs of usb ports. it does work with the modem noise and startup windows chimes but not with midi or wma files in a floder ckingdevice mgr says that my Lead mcmp/mjpeg codec(vfw) is enabled but not functioning and maybe missing. what do i do here? and is the the liekly reson my sound quit after the installs? the store is no help and i am a beginner . eek any ideas appreciated ann    Report

If you can't play midi and wma files on your machine, you can solve the problem by reinstalling windows media player on your machine.
