02-27-2008, 15:42 ewintermyer Joined on 01-04-2006 Posts 16 Read a hardware decoded barcode? Can LEAD read the result of a hardware decoded barcode? Many of the new scanners have an option to decode the barcode. If not, do you have plans to implement this feature?    Report

It depends on if the scanner supplies the decoded barcode information through a TWAIN capability, or it they use a proprietary protocol to transmit that information.  Can you list some scanners that decode barcodes, and I can try to dig up some information about how the decoded data is transmitted. Do you have information stating its Twain driver has such support? If it does, you should be able to retrieve the barcode data using the Twain Extended Image Information functions in LEADTOOLS. If you want more details about these LEAD functions, please specify which LEADTOOLS version (13, 14, 15, etc) and programming interface (DLL API, .NET classes, COM, etc.) you are using.
