LTMM version 15 - Converting Apple QuickTime movie files
Reply Quote
I am using LeadTools Multimedia version 15 in a C# .Net 2.0 Windows application.

The application allows users to import audio and video files, and export segments of the uploaded files.

I have been able to use LeadTools Multimedia successfully for MP3, WMA, WAV, MPG, WMV and AVI to WAV.

I was wondering if it was possible to use LeadTools Multimedia to extract segments from an Apple QuickTime movie file (*.qt, *.mov, *.mp4), and if so, whether these can be output to a *.mov file?

Regards, Kosta.

I believe that you also sent an email about this same topic.  In the future, please only inquire about the same issue through one medium of support unless the support agent has asked you to switch.  This will help ensure that you will not have multiple agents working on the same issue and gives you the best and most efficient support possible.

As far as extracting and decoding goes, LEADTOOLS will be able to do that as
long as you have DirectShow codecs and filters that can decode the file.  In
general, if the file can play in Windows Media Player, then LEADTOOLS will be
able to decode it.

As for encoding, most .mov files are ISO, and we do have an ISO multiplexer.
Take a look at the Convert demo which ships with the SDK to see if you can
convert your files to an ISO format.

What is the file version of ltmm15.dll, DSKernel2.dll, and LMISOMux.dll that you're using?

Which encoders are you using?

Please  the input and output videos so I can try to reproduce the problem on my end.

NOTE: If you are attaching a project or file to the forums...
1.) Zip the file(s) up.
2.) Make sure it is less than 5 MB.  If it is larger, please send an email to support@leadtools.com and we'll send you FTP instructions.
3.) Remove ANY AND ALL unlock codes and LEADTOOLS DLLs.
4.) Do not click the preview button, the attachment will not show up when you post it.

If you do not wish to post your file(s) on the forum since they are publically viewable, please send an email to support@leadtools.com and make sure that you include a link to this forum post.
