.NEF Image codec?
Reply Quote

Hey all, I was wondering...  There are many Leadtools codecs available but I've yet to find one for NEF files (Nikon RAWs).  I'm sure if there were such a thing as Leadtools.Codecs.Nef.dll it would have been included in my trial download of Raster Image Pro...

Does anyone know how I could still open up a NEF file by changing RAW options before calling the ImageFileLoader class to open my NEF up?

Many thanks

Rob

I'm afraid that we don't have support for NEF files.

If the raw data is of a known structure (width, height, bits per pixel, etc.), and it happens to be uncompressed RGB, you might be able to load it using the Raw file loading functions in LEADTOOLS. Our main Raster .NET demo has an option to load raw images in the File menu. If you know the NEF information, try to use that option.

Hey!  Thanks for you reply!  That was my guess...  I've tried using the Load Raw interface, but keep getting a messagebox with words to the effect of "Image format not supported"...

Thanks again for your response

Take care
