Printing Problems
Reply Quote
I have recently tried to print a tiff file from Bentley Microstation CAD to a ISO A0 using eprint.
The tiff should be in 400x400 dpi
The Tiff-file is never created and instead I have an hanging icon in the system tray with the only option "Conflict resolving option" enable.

I tried using the workstation as well with the same result.

What can be done to solve the problem??

Thanks in advance

/Lars

What is the paper size of the drawing you are trying to print?

Does the same problem happen when printing from other CAD software?

Does this happen for all printers or only ePrint?

What is the product ID of ePrint that you're using?  You can find this by opening the Workstation and clicking on Help -> About LEADTOOLS ePrint.

The size of the printing is 890mm x 1245mm

I only use Microstation

I should use ePrint to print Tiff-files and nedd 400x 400 dpi. When I uses Adobe pdf-driver I can plot the large plot, but only in 200x200dpi

My product id is 5.0.1.117-14.5.0.050

Hope this will help and solve my problem

I'm afraid the problem is that ePrint cannot handle the size of image you are attempting to create.  Your paper size in inches is 35 x 49.

The help file states the following equation for calculating how much memory ePrint needs in MB: (paper width in inches) X (paper length in inches X specified DPI) X (6) X (.001).  That would mean the ePrint needs 4116 MB of memory.  Even at a lower DPI, I doub that ePrint is going to have the ability to convert a print job with this large of a paper size.

Thanks Greg

Then I still have to make a PDF in double size of what I need, save this pdf to a 200 dpi TIFF and resample this to 400x400 dpi

I bought the wrong product then-da..

ePrint should be able to handle smaller images, but unfortunately images like the example you have given are not going to be possible.
