11-10-2008, 7:59 lucienzhang Joined on 11-10-2008 Posts 1 LeadTools recognize document type? Recognize vertical text? Hello, everybody, I want to know if LeadTools can realize the function below: 1. In a image of document scanned, there are two type : a) the document is the scanned result of a A4 document. b) the document is the scanned result of a picture (much smaller than A4 Document). So I want to know if LeadTools can distinct these two types of document? 2. In a image of document scanned, the most text lines are the horizontals lines, but there is a vertical line in the right side where the text is vertical. So I want to know if LeadTools can recognize these two types lines (horizontal and vertical) in one time ? Or it had to execute the LeadTools OCR for the first time to recognize horizontal text and rotate the image with 90° and apply the OCR to recognize the vertical text line? If yes, then I'm afraid we do not have a function that can get this information for you.   Regarding the second issue, I would like to see the files here to determine if our OCR engine can get this information. Can you please send a sample image that has the vertical line? If you decided to send me the files please put them in a ZIP or RAR file first.
