03-02-2009, 11:26 wk_leo98 Joined on 02-26-2009 Posts 37 Looking for Universal MPEG-2 codec we are evaluating different kind of MPEG-2 codec. We tried the LEAD MPEG 2.0 encoder eval. However, we found that LEAD MPEG-2 is not universal to be playbacked by other video player. It is required to install MPEG2.0 decoder in order to play the video. As LEAD MPEG 2.0 encoder is not well-known to some video player...we have to buy the LEAD MPEG 2.0 decoder license and deploy to every client pc if we choose LEAD MPEG 2.0 encoder.......it seem a big problem from maintenance and cost effective....    Report
