06-03-2004, 0:50 Thomas_Kenny@student.uml.edu Joined on 06-03-2004 Posts 1 Video Overlay Hey everyone, I'm using the multimedia COM objects in C# and I want to be able to view live video with an overlay. I want the overlay to consist of text and objects that I draw such as concentric circles. I know about the textoverlay filter but that is not sufficent. Does anyone have any other ideas?    Report

12-15-2005, 21:15 Koichi Yanaga Joined on 12-07-2005 Posts 4 Re: Video Overlay The standard LEAD Video Overlay filter should do the trick.  You can draw filled boxes and circles with that.  Make sure you set the x and y properties after you set the region though.    Report

The overlay filter is used in I believe version 13 of the multimedia pack. I have version 14. Travis has posted an example project doing this. While I was working on getting the callback filter working I found a bug in their software. Travis and LEADTools were great at helping me out and they fixed the problem. If you are going to do video overlays I recommend using the callback filter. Make sure you have Multimedia pack V14 with the newest patches. -Tom    Report
