Progressive JPEG 4:1:1
Reply Quote
Hello!

I am using Leadtools v14.5 in a c++ environment, and I am trying to open a progressive jpeg (YUV 4:1:1) via DlgOpen(). If I am stepping through the code, I am able to open the image. But if I am running the application, when I click on the Open button, the application crashes.

The image opens fine in Leadtools v13. Also, in v14.5 I am able to open a progressive jpeg 4:4:4. They are both color images.

Do I need a certain dll file or to specify a certain flag/parameter in order to open the progressive jpeg 4:1:1?

What is the build of LEADTOOLS v14.5 DLLs that you are using?

If you tried to load the image using LEADTOOLS Main API demo, is it loaded correctly? If yes, can you send me a small sample (Not your full application) in a ZIP or RAR file that shows the crash? If the image is not loaded using our demos, can you send it to me so I can check it?

You can either attach the files to this post, or you can send the to our support email at support@leadtools.com.

Adnan,

Yes, the Main API demo opens the image correctly. I have attached a zip file with the image and the code sample on which the application crashes. It crashes in L_DlgOpen function.

Thanks,
gergana

Gergana,

Can you please re-send the attachment, it seems it was deleted. If it fails again, please send it to support@leadtools.com. Make sure that the attachment is less than 10MB and you include the files in one ZIP or RAR file.

Adnan,

I did some further testing (with the image I sent you) and found out that

if I open the image in the API demo (Raster Image Pro 14.5 API 01 Main Raster Demo), it crashes the demo,

but if I use Vector Imaging Pro 14.5 API 03 Vector and Raster Overlay Demo, it opens. What is the difference between both applications?

Also, if I open it in the Vector Imaging Pro 14.5 API 03 Vector and Raster Overlay Demo, and then try to open it again (it may take 3-4 times), it crashes as well. Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks,
Gergana

Gergana,
Both demos should open any JPEG image without crashing.
What is the build of LEADTOOLS v14.5 DLLs that you are using?
I have build 14.5.0.39 and I was able to load the image several times in both
demos without facing any problems.

I am using a 14.5.0.16 build. It is the build of the SDK Win32 Patch in the LEAD support portal. I do not have a Util Patches tab in my Portal. How can I get the 14.5.0.39 build?
