04-09-2007, 8:53 amitt Joined on 03-15-2007 Posts 6 Auto Page Sense Hi       I am using LeadTools 14.5 version .Is LeadTool provide functionality for the Auto sense page size.i.e if  there are mutiple pades scanned from the scanner is there is option that only page size area is scanned.   Regards Amit Kumar Tyagi      Report

04-10-2007, 15:43 GregR Joined on 05-31-2006 In House Posts 1,536 Re: Auto Page Sense As long as your scanner's drivers are compatible with TWAIN 1.9, LEADTOOLS should be able to interface with it.  This would include any of the scanner's capabilities whether they are custom capabilities or standard TWAIN capabilities.  TWAIN scanning is like a black box.  LEADTOOLS can negotiate any of the scanner's capabilities but once you try to acquire an image, control is turned over to your scanner's drivers until it sends the images back to LEADTOOLS.  Therefore, if your scanner has the ability to auto-detect and/or trim the page, then LEADTOOLS should be able to recieve the properly sized image. 04-27-2007, 9:11 amitt Joined on 03-15-2007 Posts 6 Re: Auto Page Sense Hi, Can u please send me some code sample to set the auto sense page size.We have used AutoTrim function but it result vary .We want that if we have scanned multiple size documents through ADF than the images must of the same sizes according to the particulare page size so that when they are saved ,they saved in actual size . 05-01-2007, 9:05 GregR Joined on 05-31-2006 In House Posts 1,536 Re: Auto Page Sense I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "auto sense page size".  If this is a custom capability of your scanner then we do not have a specific code sample for it. To get or set a custom capability, you use GetCapability and SetCapability just like you would with the general TWAIN capabilities for which we have constants defined.  The help file will have sample code on how to use Get and SetCapability.  The only reason we have constants for those is because they are a part of the TWAIN specifications and all scanners could have those.  However, non-standard capabilities like "auto sense page size" or "auto trim" are used in exactly the same way, but you will need to refer to your scanners documentation on the capability to see how to use it.
