09-11-2007, 13:28 richardl13 Joined on 08-20-2007 Posts 2 TWAIN setting for Canon Scan Ahead I have a VB6 app that captures the image from a Canon 5010 scanner.  I am using the Lead Main Control(13.0).  The scanner hesitates between each page.  If I enable the interface (LeadImage.TwainFlags = TWAIN_SHOWUI) I can set the scanning option to "Scan Ahead".  How can I accomplish this with the Lead Tools component?    Report

09-11-2007, 16:40 GregR Joined on 05-31-2006 In House Posts 1,502 Re: TWAIN setting for Canon Scan Ahead You can set any TWAIN capability (setting) by using the SetCapability function.  Similarly you can get capabilities with GetCapability.  I've not heard of "Scan Ahead" so I'm assuming this is a custom capability of that scanner.  SetCapability can still set custom capabilities just like it does with the standard capabilities.  You will probably need to check the manufacturer's documentation or contact them for information such as the capability ID, types, possible values, etc. Greg Ross LEADTOOLS Technical Support    Report

06-07-2008, 11:09 Support-eDocuMAN Joined on 06-07-2008 Posts 1 Re: TWAIN setting for Canon Scan Ahead I have the same problem, Actually "Scan Ahead" in Capture Perfect software, it is using ISIS drivers and Twain does not provide the same. The scanning is slow in Twain compared to ISIS. When Twain is selected the image is transfered slowly even on USB2.0. it seems like some buffer problem. the scanner waits for the system to save the raw file and then continues to scan again :`( Any ideas on this will help    Report
