jp2000 does it's own cropping

!st let me say wow. I've just tried the jp2000 for the first time and I can't believe how good, wait make that great, the quality (to compression ratio).
I took a file I already worked on, did nothing to it and then saved it to it's default lossy setting. The original was 5,980Kb and the jp2 was 743KB.

Anyhow I did notice one thing--the cropping changed somewhat. As said, I did nothing to the file except to save it to this format. My original has a small leaf coming out of a tree close to the top right corner but the jp2 one doesn't. Why is this so? Can something be done about this?

Hello,

What is the Photoshop version that you use?

Can you please provide me with a sample images that you try to save to JPEG2000 and shows the problem?

Note: if you send any files, please put them in a ZIP or RAR file.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
the photoshop version I have is "Photoshop CS" ver 8.0
As to sending the photo--I don't feel comfortable with that considering security to protect my photos. But I'm assuming any photo will do. Just look at the edges carefully.

careful scrutiny of my pix sowed that I had actually worked on the part of the frame on the jp2 file having 'eraased' it myself.
Sorry about that and thanks again
