LeadVIEW or ePrint Multipage TIFF Conversion
Reply Quote

I have been trying to use both LEADView and eprint to convert some multipage TIFF files that contain JPEG compression to Packbits compression. The resulting compression is correct but it won't recreate the multipage TIFF files, it breaks them up into invidual files per page. I need to have Multipage TIFF files as the output. Did I miss a setting or is this not possible. Thanks.

I have also tried to Command Line interface program and it also converts only the first page, is there a particular switch I should use in the batch file to preserve the multipage tiffs?

Hello,

If you mean that you want to convert a Multi-page TIFF file with JPEG compression to a Multi-page TIFF file with Packbits compression, you can do this by using LEADTOOLS ePrint 5 as follows:

- Open the Multi-Page TIFF file that you want to convert using LEADTOOLS ePrint 5 Workstation.

- Select "File\Save As" to save your Multi-page TIFF file to TIFF format.

-  In the Save As dialog, set the "File type" option to "Image Formats" and the "Save as" option to "TIF (*.tif)", then click the "Options" button.

- In the "Save as Options" dialog, set the "Color Depth" to the value that you want (24 bit for example), and set the compression Type to "Packbits RGB". Click OK button.

- Make sure that the "Save each page as a separate file" option is not checked.

- Click the Save button with the "Save as" dialog and wait ePrint to finish.

- check the result Multi-Page TIFF file.

About using the command line to convert your Multi-Page TIF file to a Multi-Page TIFF format, I am afraid that this feature is not currently supported by the command line utility.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan

Thank you for your help but I have a large amount of files to convert, is there an automated way to accomplish this?

Hello,

The LEADTOOLS ePrint 5 Workstation lets you create a "task printer" that can perform a series of defined actions, for example to convert a series of images to specific printers. Use the Task Printers Manager to manage the task printers that you create. Access the Task Printers Manager directly from the Start menu (LEADTOOLS ePrint 5 -> Tools-> Task Printers Manager), or from within LEADTOOLS ePrint 5 Workstation (Tools -> Task Printers Manager).

For more information, please read the following topics in the "LEADTOOLS ePrint 5 Professional Help":
- ePrint Task Printer Creation Wizard
- Batch Print Page
Also, please see the following Pages:
