Worklist file location
Reply Quote

I move all of my .avi file captures daily to a folder on an external hard drive. Is there any way to change the worklist file location to reflect this? Currently, the left-hand worklist window only shows a thumbnail of the ones I haven't moved yet.

Thanks.

Hello,

I am not sure if I fully understand what you are trying to do, but what I understood is you have a work list on your hardisk with x number of video files. And you have moved some of these video files to an external hardisk drive, and you want these files to appear correctly in the same work list after removing them. Is this correct?

If yes, there is no direct way to do this in the "LEAD Capture and Present" application. But you can try one of the following solutions:

(1) Edit the file names and location manually:

- Open the Work list file (suppose its wrk1.mcw) on the Notepad (as a text).

- You will be able to see the name of the video files with the full bath, so you can edit the bath of the files that you have moved to the external hardisk drive.

(2) Transfer the work list with all video files to the external hardisk drive:

I supposed that you have a work list (such as wrk1.mcw) with x number of video files.

- Copy wrk1.mcw with all the videos to your external hardisk drive (rename the new copy to wrk2).

- Now, Open wrk2 from the external hardisk drive.

- Select all the video files in the list, and delete them from the list.

- Now, select "file"\"Add Existing videos", and then select all the video files that you moved to the external hardisk drive.

Regards,
