We have a multimedia toolkit that is based on MS DirectShow. It contains ActiveX (COM) controls that can be used to capture, play and convert different multimedia file types. This includes the ability to convert from MPEG to WMV, among other formats.

However, we don't have any special components, documentation or demos for Silverlight. The demos shipped with this toolkit are for VB6, Visual C, Visual C++, Borland C++ Builder, Delphi, and C# and VB.NET 2005 (Windows Forms projects).
For more information you can download the free version of our multimedia SDK (http://www.leadtools.com/SDK/Multimedia/Multimedia-LE.htm)
