Converting raw MPEG 4 to JPEG
Reply Quote
I have an MPEG 4 file that is wrapped in MXF not mp4, avi, etc. I'd like to convert the first frame of the file into JPEG to use as a thumbnail. If I just extract the first frame of the MPEG4 video essence, is there any way to convert this ? Or do I need to wrap it in mp4?

I've used the ltmmconvert SaveStillBitmap function on mp4 files, but I don't know how to configure it for just the raw video - or if it's possible.

Are you able to play the MPEG 4 files you have using our demos shipped with the toolkit and Windows Media Player? Can you send me a sample file that I can check for you?

If you want to send a sample file, please put it in a ZIP or RAR file.

Adnan,

I found that the files work and I can convert the MPEG just fine. I didn't realize that the toolkit supported MXF wrapped files. This is an excellent product.

I'm buying it today.

Thanks.
