File format invalid error
Reply Quote

i am experiencing a "File format invalid" error while trying to convert tiff to pdf, the error occurs already when i try to load tiff image, I am calling the function for conversion as a function in a assembly, which is part of bigger project. The interesting thing is when i copy the exactly same code and paste it into separate application, it works perfectly. Does anybody know where the problem could be?

thanks a lot

Hello,

What is the programming interface (COM, API, .Net, etc.) that you use?

Do you get this error on your development PC or on a test client where LEADTOOLS is not installed?

Can you please send me a small sample TIFF file that shows the problem?

Thanks,
Maen Badwan

Hi,

I am using .Net and the error occurs on my development PC. I have attached a tiff sample, but i don't think the tiff itself is the problem because as i said when i run the function in a separate test application it works.

thx for your help

Hello,

To load the TIF file, try to add the following filters DLLs as references in your application:

Leadtools.Codecs.Fax.dll
Leadtools.Codecs.Tif.dll

Please let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

Can you copy the codecs DLL files to the same folder that contains the EXE that uses your assembly? You need to add the LEADTOOLS codecs assembly files to the project EXE application, not your DLL project.

Hello,

Do you face this issue only when trying to load TIFF files or when saving the TIFF files to PDF format?

Can you please send me a small working project (not your full application) that shows the problem?

When you want to attach any files, please put them all in ZIP or RAR file. Also, don't use preview when you have attachment.
If you have any problem in attaching files to the forum, you can send the files in a ZIP of RAR file to support@leadtools.com. Don't forget to mention this forum post in your email to support.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan
