Saving EXIF and IPTC in same file
Reply Quote
Hello,

I'm trying to change IPTC data in some existing jpeg-files.
Those files are recognized as FILE_EXIF_JPEG via GetFileInfo / InfoFormat.
After loading the files and reading the comments, all EXIF and IPTC data is visible in the Comment-array. Saving the file in the same file format destroys the IPTC-Data.

So I'm neither able to change and save IPTC data nor can I just load, resize and save the files without loss of metadata.

Is there a workaround?

I'm using Leadtools ActiveX 13.0

Thanks for your help,

It sounds like what you're doing should work. Could you tell me what version of ltkrn13n.dll you have? I want to make sure you have the latest build possible.

Also, check out these help sections related to your issue: "Maintaining File Comments" and
"Comment property". You can find them in the Main OCX help file under "Programming with LEADTOOLS" and "Properties, Methods, and Events" respectively.
