Exception when the hosting process is disabled [URGENT]
Reply Quote
When running your GenerateAVI example built for x86 on Vista x64 with VS 2005 in Debug mode with enabled hosting process everything is fine.
When I disable the hosting process I get the following exeption : "LTMM Error: No such interface supported". This happens in the following line:
ltmmConvert.SourceObject = smpsrc;

What might be the reason ?
Thanks.

What exactly do you mean by "disable the hosting process"? Do you run the same EXE that worked on the same computer, but outside the debugger? If yes, how exactly do you disable it?

You can disable the hosting process by going to Project Settings -> Debug -> Enable the Visual Studio hosting process.
But the same (the exception) will happen if you will run the Release or the Debug from the command line.
Any ideas ?

I'm using LT Multimedia v15.
The file version of ltmm15.dll is 15.1.0.2.
It's located under C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.
I once again will give you the exact instructions on how to get this issue:
1. I have Windows Vista x64 Ultimate and VS 2005.
2. Load the GenerateAVI project into the VS.
3. Change the platform from Any CPU to x86.
4. Build the Debug or Release version and run it. It will run OK.
5. Now disable the hosting process and run it again. It will fail.

Can you reproduce it now ?
