Hello,

I am not sure what might cause this problem, but the problem might be related to the microphone it self -or- the microphone settings in the volume control. So, you have to make sure that the microphone is working correctly before retry this issue.
However, the Following instructions show how to capture your desktop activities with the voice that coming through the microphone using LEAD Capture and present:
(1) Open the "LEAD Capture and Present" application.
(2) Select "File"\"New video recording", and set the location of the output media file.
(3) Now, select "Capture"\"Options" (the "Capture options" dialog will appeared).
(4) Within the dialog, Select the "General" tab, and make sure that the following check boxes are checked:
-Beep When start/stop capturing.
-Minimize the application when capturing status.
-Activate the application after capturing is finished
-Show capturing report
(5) Now, select the "Output format" tab, and set the "video" combo box to "LEAD Screen Capture Encoder", and the "Audio" combo box to any Audio codec you want (You can set it to none if you want).
(6)Now, Select the "Audio" tab, and set the "Device" combo Box to the name of your sound card driver. After this, set the "Options" to "Audio device filter".
Then press the "Properties" button (The "Audio Capture Filter" dialog will appear).
(7) Now, within the "Audio Capture Filter" dialog, set the "Pin Line" to "Microphone" then check the "Enable" check box and press "OK" within the "Audio Capture Filter" dialog
(8) Now, you can begin the capture process using one of the methods:
1. Select "Capture"\"Start".
2. You can start capturing process by R-click the "Lead Capture and Present" icon in the "System tray" (on your windows taskbar), and select "start capturing".
(9) After starting the capturing process, "LEAD Capture and present" application will be minimized So that you can start capturing the video stream from you machine.
The Audio stream will be captured from your microphone.
(10) To stop the capturing process, press R-Click on the LEAD Capture and present icon in the system tray and select "Stop capturing".

About adding the audio to the captured files, you can do this by using the replace audio tool in the capture and present application. But this tool only used to add a new audio stream to the captured file instead of the original one.
However, you can use the following instructions to do replace the original audio stream with the playback audio on your machine:
1. Open LEAD Capture and present application, and select "Tools"\"Replace Audio". (The replace audio player will appear).
2. In the replace audio player, select "File"\"open", and open the captured file that you want to edit its sound.
3. Select "File"\"Settings", and then in the settings dialog select your Audio card as the "Audio device". Now, press the "properties" button and set the "Pin line" option to 'Line' and check the "Enable" check box. Then press OK. And then close the settings tab.
4. Open any other player that you have on your machine, and then playback the wav audio file (that contains the audio stream that you want to add to the captured file).
5. Now (in the audio player), select "Playback"\"Record" and wait it until the end.
6. Now, play your captured file.
7. You will note that the audio stream is replaced.

Note: You may be able to add your voice by using the same thing, but you will need to set the "Pin Line" to "Microphone" in step3.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan
