Problem:
Upon installing LEADTOOLS, the modify/remove dialog appears when LEADTOOLS really is not installed. If you choose to remove, it says that it removed it but the same dialog appears when you try to install again.
Solution:
You had LEADTOOLS installed at some point but when you uninstalled it, it did not remove all of the necessary information for some reason. To solve this problem, do the following:
1) Remove the target folder where the setup was installed: Ex. "c:\program files\lead technologies, inc\leadtools
2) Delete the start menu program group (the shortcuts)
3) Delete the folder from the directory below. Please keep in mind that this is a hidden directory. You will need to 'show hidden directories' in the folder options. C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information that corresponds to the toolkit/setup that you want removed. Ex: {35288E82-F8F1-4B94-B00B-8107121D18D9} is for LEADTOOLS 14.5 Release
4) Run regedit and delete the item from: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall that corresponds to the toolkit/setup that you want removed. Ex: {35288E82-F8F1-4B94-B00B-8107121D18D9} is for LEADTOOLS 14.5 Release
